What I love about 'Regular Lovers' is the way it sneaks up on you, creating maximum impact with minimal instrumentation, before fading away into the fog. What also cuts Love Inks apart from other minimalist indie peers is the slight swagger everything is delivered with; I think it's because they're from Austin, but I don't have any facts to back that up with.
It's all so delicate and sincere, and there's nowhere to hide in tunes like this. It's a lot of emotion for so little emoting.
