#47 Bully - I Remember

Tearing it down from the outset, Bully drags all the violent joy of Be Your Own Pet into the intimacy and honesty of biographical song writers like Courtney Barnett. They're raw.

'I Remember' is a punch in the face (that lasts just under two minutes) that is as nostalgic as it is mildly threatening. The songwriting has a rare equal relationship between heavy riffs, destructive rhythm section, and intense lyrical content. It's this equality that makes Bully, although it's not a wholly original sound, completely unique.

As the track is so short, it's in danger of being repeated to death (by us), so it's worth checking out the equally brief, 'Milkman'. Bully are also currently touring, with dates that include the UK for the first time ever.
