Raw Meat: What’s your favourite local venue?

Tamu Massif: The Birdcage in Bristol is a cool place. It's a nice little café and they get some really good acts coming through there. (www.birdcagebristol.com/)

Are there any record labels or stores that we should be looking up/visiting?

Store: Rise in Bristol.

Label: Cascine.

What’s the creative scene like where you’re from?

There's a lot of cool stuff coming out of Bristol at the moment. It seems to be overlooked by bigger bands on national tours these days, but it's home to a lot of talented people doing interesting things.

Bristol-based label Howling Owl put on some great events in interesting venues and also represent two of our favourite bands in the Naturals and Oliver Wilde. (www.howlingowlrecords.com)

What are Tamu Massif up to at the moment and what have you got planned for the near future?

We're always working on new material and are currently in the process of recording a bunch of new songs. We've been putting a lot of time into trying to hone our live shows too. We're also readying a video to accompany our debut physical release which should come out some time in late summer.
