Following on from their sublime 2017 EP Junkyard Jazz, Trudy and the Romance have announced their debut album Sandman, due for release this May. ‘The Original Doo-Wop Spacemen’ is our first peak at the project, and promises for something spectacular.
Frontman Oliver Taylor’s dreamy, lilting vocals paired with the extra-terrestrial concept forge a typically charming, cheeky track from the band. The video for the track won’t fail to put a smile on your face, taking an old-school romance story and giving it a Trudy twist with alien antics and vibrant visuals.
It comes as no shock to us that Trudy and the Romance are already supporting bands like Her’s as well as receiving critical acclaim from the likes of BBC 6 Music. Watch this space (and these spacemen) in the run up to their LP, as there's certain to be more beauties like this.
